We buy buildings in Berkshire County and eastern New York that need real work, rebuild them with our own construction company, and keep them. We are the owner, not a middleman — the same people who bought the building are the ones who fix it and the ones you call.

Most developers build to sell. We build to keep, so if the work does not last, it is our problem and not the next owner’s.
We buy
Apartment buildings, mixed-use and commercial property in Berkshire County, usually the ones that need a lot of work. Our own crews price the job before we buy, so we know what it will cost before we commit.
We rebuild
Structure, roof, windows, heating, wiring, layout and finishes — all of it done by CMV Contracting. Not a tidy-up: what is behind the walls gets replaced too.
We keep
We hold and manage what we build. Your landlord, the owner and the builder are the same people, at the same phone number.

We do the building work ourselves
Our construction company, CMV Contracting, has been building in the Berkshires for 30 years. When Hinton’s Berkshire Homes takes on a building, CMV does the work — the roof, the framing, the wiring, the kitchens, all of it.
That changes things. Nobody cheapens the work to win the job, because we are the ones who own the building and we are the ones who pay to put it right later. When a tenant reports a problem, the crew who turn up already know the building. And we can take on places other buyers walk away from — empty buildings, ones that need a whole new roof structure — because we price the work ourselves and then we do it ourselves.
Latest project
The old Adams Community Center
A 1920 building at 20 East Street that had stood empty long enough to look like a teardown. We bought it from the town, took it to the frame, and rebuilt it as thirteen apartments.

What renting from us looks like
- You rent from the owner — no broker, no finder’s fee, no middleman
- Repairs go to our own construction crew, not a call list

A house, an apartment building, a storefront with apartments above, a commercial or industrial building, or land — if it is in Berkshire County and needs more work than you want to take on, we buy direct. The rougher the better: buildings that need structural work, a new roof, or a full gut are the ones we like most.
We are not brokers and there is nothing to list. We come and look, tell you what it is worth to us, and you decide.
