Full-scope construction services
Roofing is our largest single trade. CMV is a full construction company with its own employees and equipment, able to frame, side, roof, finish and deliver a completed building.
What we build

From a single roof to a building taken to its frame and rebuilt, the work is carried out by the same crews under the same written scope.
Roofing
Our specialtyReplacement, repair, ice dams, flat roofs and storm damage. Asphalt, metal, EPDM and cedar.
Framing & structural work
Floor systems, walls, roof framing, dormers, beams and bearing lines. Rough carpentry to plan, square and on schedule — including work as a framing sub for other builders.
Additions & second stories
Bump-outs, in-law suites, dormers, and full second-floor additions — including raising a one-and-a-half story to a full two.
Siding & exteriors
Vinyl, fiber cement, clapboard and board-and-batten, with the trim, soffit, fascia and housewrap detailing that keeps water out from behind.
Windows & doors
Replacement units, new openings cut and headed, entry and patio doors. Properly flashed, insulated and trimmed inside and out.
Decks, porches & screen rooms
Pressure-treated, cedar or composite. Footings below frost, code-compliant rails and stairs, built to still be solid in fifteen years.
Garages & outbuildings
Detached garages, workshops, sheds and pole barns — slab to shingles, wired and sided to match the house if you want it to.
New home construction
Custom homes from foundation sill to ridge cap. We can act as general contractor, run the trades, pull the permits and manage inspections.
Multifamily & historic
Gut renovations of apartment buildings and old commercial stock. Structural repair, new roof structures, unit layouts, and finishing to rent. This is some of the most demanding work we do.
Repairs & rot work
Rotted sills, water-damaged framing, failed decks, sagging floors, and the odd-shaped jobs other contractors will not return calls about.
Insurance & storm work
Documentation, written scopes your carrier can work from, and we will meet the adjuster on site.
General contracting
General contracting
On larger projects CMV acts as general contractor: the permit is pulled in our name, subcontractors are engaged and scheduled by us, inspections are coordinated by us, and the owner has a single point of contact for the duration of the work.
We also work as a framing or roofing subcontractor to other builders and general contractors.

Scoping a project
If you are uncertain what a project involves, describe the condition — a room that will not hold heat, a ceiling stain, a building you are considering purchasing — and we will set out what the work entails, the approximate scope, and whether it is better addressed now or deferred.
